Yes, and let’s not forget to ban Chinese subway cars, and what about solar panels. Who knows what kind of nefarious electronic gizmos might be lurking in them. And then there’s my Chinese made electric toothbrush. How do I know for sure that it isn’t collecting crucial data on my teeth that might be used against me? With 1.4 billion Chinese, you just know that most of them are dedicated to processing all the data flowing out of the U.S. on where Americans drive, how they brush their teeth, where they position their solar panels, etc., etc. oh, I forget to mention Chinese-made toys. Now there’s a threat, to our kids no less! Just how far are we going to go with this paranoia?

Inviting Chinese automakers to set up in the US is bad for Michigan and our economy. The Chinese Communist Party makes these cars dirt cheap with state subsidies, and they're a national security risk: collecting video + driver location data, which could be sent back to Beijing.

@BhumiGhimir @ClamRespector I think the assistance provided in the Mutiny helped cement Jung Bahadur’s clan’s unchallenged internal colonialism in Nepal. The Raj that replaced the Company also always made sure that Jung Bahadur towed their line by using the Shah king in d shadow as a leverage against them.

The Ranas left behind quite a lot of European-styled buildings too.
And this is besides the fact that British colonisation would have resulted in Nepal being a state in India after the British withdrawal.
The Ranas were atrocious, but they did preserve Nepal’s sovereignty.

British colonization in Nepal would have been better than 104 yrs of jahaniya Rana regime. At least we would have had banger architectures and rail infra like this. The Ranas hollowed the country from within, left the regime with 2% literacy rate, yet offered nothing in return

@BhumiGhimir @ClamRespector The Brits would never colonize Nepal. Not because she couldn't but wouldn't due to geopolitics. If Brits had learnt anything from its Afghan expeditions, it was that some states needed to remain buffers. Afghanistan was a buffer against the Russian empire in the Great Game.
