@TMTLongShort While Trump rants about countries "ripping off" the US, the US has been ripping off the rest of the world in a far more meaningful way - the US dollar standard. Current actions are only accelerating the collapse of this regime.

I know I am going to get a lot of emotional flack for this but I’m going to say it anyways. Trump did something deeply irresponsible. Crazy risk. Insane tails. But whether you like it or not we are now at war with China. Yes, it’s starting out as just an economic war. But that’s how many wars in the past have started. But regardless of who you voted for, if you’re American, you’re in the shit now. There is no turning back without losing our status as hegemon and all the benefits that it provides to you and everyone you care about. If Trump were to catch a stray tomorrow the facts on the board won’t change. We attempted to force China out of the system. If we fail, regardless of who is president, they will exact revenge. They will work day and night to make sure we can never attempt this again. So for the next few months, bottle up your anger, save it for the midterms, and focus for now on winning this. Virtue signaling to the Europeans that you didn’t vote for the guy who is about to wreck their economy is not helpful. You can do it. Free country. But understand that every day of delay in countries capitulating is a win for China and detrimental to the probability that your grandchildren will grow up in a country that still enjoys superpower status & a reserve currency. For the non-Americans - I apologize, sometimes super powers are dickheads. We’ll try to be better. After this is over.

@whatslukedoing I agree, staker rewards are a better incentive. Rewards holding rather than immediately dumping.

Anyone have thoughts on staking rewards vs buyback & burn? My take... VCs push for the buyback & burn method because it benefits LOCKED tokens as well as unlocked tokens. But the rev-share / staker rewards model only rewards stakers / active participants - it's the better one

@vanquishron @ikear Bots botting and pulling the floor down is not organic though. Otherwise, a lot of these projects would have had low volume but a higher floor.

The project you have worked so hard for, and continue to fight for, is not being destroyed by the community you’ve built around it. It is being destroyed by those who have created an unsustainable system—one designed to ruin what we know as NFTs. NFTs are art, community, and the momentum of trading. They are what excite us and make us feel part of something bigger. But for the past two weeks, nothing has been the same, and a big part of the blame falls on OpenSea. No one is buying—I am not buying—and I am even questioning whether to sell things I have been holding for years. If we don’t stop this now, we may reach a point where it’s too late to recover. @9gagceo , @shanicucic96 , @LucaNetz , @0xChar , @NFT1nsight …and all of you—our leaders, our communities—we need your help. Just as trading on Blur has been restricted at times, we must do the same with @opensea. It makes no sense to allow this to continue, and it requires action and responsibility from all of us.
