@Northern_Bobby I’m relatively new in, only 2 years, we are taught rank and how to properly address. Insane to me that it wasn’t observed, I think younger (as in age) are abit too casual sometime. I do think some officers (all ages) forget this is a disciplined organisation.

Anyone following who has recently joined the job? Were you taught anything on rank and understanding of lawful orders? Phone call with a new officer earlier regarding an incident. Called me 'mate' 3 times and then said "No, I think that's your job"

@SadButMadLad @JayDarkmoore The bad ones do get investigated, and routinely and rightly so get chucked out but everything must go through PSD now. Thats the issue, they decide whether it’s a simple talking or further. No complaint goes straight to BCU.

@JayDarkmoore The good ones are leaving because of the bad environment in the force. The bad ones are staying because they don't get investigated.

A police officer recently messaged me stating that after 6 years in the service, they are leaving. They stated they are leaving due to the over zealous professional standards department going after colleagues over minor things, and people losing their jobs over it. They explained how if they left now, they wouldn’t have a gross misconduct blemish on their employment record. Not only is it now difficult to recruit and retain officers, but officers are leaving before they find themselves in trouble over minor things. If this doesn’t scream ‘the organisation doesn’t care about its staff’ then nothing does. It’s like people jumping from the Titanic, just in case it hits an iceberg.

@JeanHatchet @harris_actual The people replying have never been in the job, and believe that everyone is easy to get down and control. Until they do it they won’t understand it’s not that simple.

@harris_actual Are the men in court? Were any of the public harmed? One of those officers was put on the floor very briefly and then she got up and rescued the male cooper who was on the floor already and not getting up.

Sick of the misogyny about the female police officers in the Manchester Airport attack. In this footage, if you watch the various angles, you can clearly see the officer with the broken nose GETS BACK UP AND DOES HER JOB handcuffing the arsehole who smashed her and her fellow officers. The other female cop is hard as nails, fast thinking and acting, checking every aspect of the scene for danger she can eliminate. Manages to get straight back up off the floor and tasers the cowardly bastard to save her male colleague. She then intimidates the men trying to return for more AND checks on the other female officer with the broken nose who CARRIES ON doing her job with that broken nose. These female officers are magnificent and in no way weak or inefficient. They were facing a violent threat to themselves and the public and did their jobs as well as any of the male cops there. Well done women. #ManchesterAirportAssault youtube.com/watch?v=lp5gQP…

@EssexBoy996955 @MG6pii @InspGadgetBlogs The debt isn’t really a problem though? It’s not a normal debt and I’m only paying £60 a month back. The retention part is an issue though, better wages would help.

@KLloyd30053821 @InspGadgetBlogs It’s not though, with a decent team it helps. It’s stressful but there are pros, of course everyone is hoping something soon will change but that’s doubtful.

@InspGadgetBlogs Anybody who joins today is nuts, but they perhaps do not know any better. Only once they are in, do they understan it’s a pile of crap, to be a cop today.

@CopMoustache Can I ask, how come you are being made to retire? I agree with the other sentiments that we are losing too many experienced officers and I assume you aren’t the only loss that will be felt at BCU level.

@aussie_sarge If our ruling party would stop bending over for the Islamic mayors and mps that hate officers, maybe we could get a pay raise here too...🤔

South Australia Police officers will receive the biggest pay increase in 30 years. The state's police association negotiated a wage rise of up to 17.9 per cent… Devils in the detail, but an expectance at state level that retention is huge issue search.app/pYzGg654iNojdi…
