How do you miss the playoffs with the best goalie in the NHL? Just watch the Jets on Vegas' first shift. Jack Eichel, the best player on the team, was standing 2 feet in front of the net, and there wasn't a Jets defender in the same area code.

Because Patrik Laine has spent most of season on IR, his next contract can be incentive laden and bonus structured (low base salary) which one would think would be appealing to his next team. But first he needs a fresh start. Let’s see if a team takes him before the deadline for a test drive for rest of season.

There are always a TON of Habs fans in the stands when they play in Winnipeg, yet still it felt like more than usual tonight. Their team also won 5-1 so they got to be pretty loud. So I asked Scott Arniel about it. #NHLJets

I understand teams will want toughness and he makes almost the league minimum but Logan Stanley is such an awful defender. Not sure coaches will trust him in 3rd periods in close games.

Stanley gave the puck away 3 times on that shift
