This isn’t a Republican saying it. This is the man who ran two Democratic White Houses.

Terrible news from Tehran: I just heard that the Iranian authorities today arrested the great human rights lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh. It's not known where she has been taken. Nasrin has been mentioned as a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize for her unflinching courage and moral leadership. I hope thought leaders worldwide will call on the Iranian authorities to release this brave woman who represents the best of Iran. Her husband, Reza Khandan, is already in prison serving a sentence for advocating for women's rights. Iran should release them -- and all political prisoners. It was wrong for the Shah to imprison people for peaceful expression of political views, and it's wrong for the Islamic Republic to do so today.

Fairfax County’s main prosecutor, Steve Descano, consistently drops charges against criminals, and especially illegal aliens, as a matter of policy. Stephanie Minter’s alleged killers had over 30 previous arrests. Almost every case was dropped. This is not sustainable.

There have been 4 murder cases in Fairfax County, Virginia this entire year. 3/4 arrested suspects are illegal immigrants. At least 2 of those have previous arrests. The sanctuary policies are doing real harm to the people who live there.

The idea that one administration can unilaterally give hundreds of thousands of people temporary legal status but another administration is not allowed to end that status is absurd on its face. These judges need to stop inventing rules based on their policy preferences.
