@CDeryXIX @Anthony__Koch From what my dad has said, it seems her family moved to Jogues or Hearst from Quebec when government started offering free land to farmers willing to relocate. But eventually they came back, I think for more free land, this time in Ste-Lucie.

I suspect she was bullied for speaking French when she lived in Ontario as a kid.
