🇪🇺 Chat Control has passed 😔 They can and will now legally scan any person's messages, emails and photos you send without a warrant The way they passed this law when the majority of the European Parliament was against it will shock you: They waited until most EP members were on holiday so only a few were present and then created an "urgent" vote for it to pass it through There's nothing democratic about any of it and big powerful forces are behind this that can manipulate the EU for whatever they want Democracy in Europe died a bit today 😔

@levelsio the question here is: holidays while there are voting sessions? We're paying those people to vote for our interests and they don't show up because "it's July I'm at the beach"? What a joke of democracy we have. We should just agree EU was a failed experiment and move on.

If they schedule a vote for chat control, you take a plane and make sure you don't miss the vote. Isn't that their job? What else do we pay them for? They have a summer recess from tomorrow until Sept 14. Isn't that enough time off? They were sneaky, but our PMs don't give a shit.

@dgrcode @levelsio I agree that most don’t care. But afaik this was also a 2 day advance notice. So lots of people on vacation might not even know.
