@PM_ViktorOrban Waiting for Hungarian troops in Iran. Or what did you promise to Vens?

The rhetoric attributed to Viktor Orbán relies on a familiar populist formula: simplifying complex geopolitical realities into a narrative of hidden “war profiteers” and external conspiracies. While emotionally resonant, this framing does not withstand closer scrutiny.
First, the claim that conflicts are primarily driven by arms manufacturers, energy companies, or banks ignores the fundamental cause of the current war in Ukraine—namely, the military aggression initiated by Russia. Defense industries respond to security demand; they do not create the geopolitical conditions that lead to war. Similarly, energy markets and financial institutions react to instability rather than orchestrate it.
Second, portraying Hungary as uniquely “shielding” itself from war is misleading. The European Union is not a party to the conflict, and no member state is sending troops into direct combat. The collective approach across Europe has been to support Ukraine while avoiding escalation into a wider war—hardly the scenario suggested by such alarmist language.
Third, the narrative of shadowy actors “pushing from behind” lacks evidence and serves primarily as a political tool. It redirects attention away from tangible policy debates—such as energy dependence, governance concerns, or economic performance—and toward abstract enemies that cannot be held accountable.
In this sense, the message functions less as an analysis of reality and more as a mechanism of political mobilization. By invoking fear and external threats, it seeks to consolidate domestic support while sidestepping more complex and inconvenient questions.
Ultimately, the situation in Europe is driven by concrete geopolitical actions, not by the simplistic conspiracy implied in such statements. Effective policy requires clarity and realism—qualities that are notably absent from this kind of rhetoric.

@PM_ViktorOrban @ndw_22 I am really concerned: you pull all known cheap populistic triggers and from day to day you look more sick.
I am worried about your decline in wo many aspects.
When will you accept that your time is over?
English

@PM_ViktorOrban Yes, where did the leaders work before: Emmanuel Macron-Rothschild, Mark Carney-Goldman Sachs, Friedrich Merz-Blackrock, Mario Draghi-Goldman Sachs,…
English

@PM_ViktorOrban What you conveniently are not saying is that there is an agreement on the table for Hungary, Czechia and Slovakia to be exempt from the €90b package if the veto is withdrawn.
English

@PM_ViktorOrban Hopefully that gypo toad is jailed by the new Hungarian government and his zebras sent to the zoo.
English

@PM_ViktorOrban And now the social media perverts are trying to block any pro-Orban comments. Thank you for being the only great leader on the planet right now that is staying true to your principles.
