An update on Morrisons pay negotiations following the closure of the 'zero offer' ballot.

Reform want to SCRAP the Employment Rights Act, removing benefits like sick pay, protection from unfair dismissal and guaranteed hours for millions of workers ❌ Reform have once again proven that they are NOT a friend to working people ✋

Last weekend, activists, delegates and officials came together for Usdaw's Political Conference in Cardiff! 🌹 The weekend featured key note speeches from First Minister of Wales Eluned Morgan and General Secretary Joanne Thomas, a panel discussion led by Deputy General Secretary Rab Donnelly and door to door campaigning for local Labour candidates! 🙌

Over HALF of Tetrosyl's warehouse staff are now Usdaw members and yet the company still refuse to recognise or engage in talks with us 🤔 We have now applied for a statutory agreement which would give us an agreement without the need for a ballot ✍️ There has never been a greater need for trade union representation as members continue to strike over Tetrosyl's appalling fire and rehire tactics ✊

All working people should have the security to plan their their lives and to build a future for them and their family - the Employment Rights Act gives everyone the right to a contract that reflects the hours they actually work 🙌 Thank you Lee Barron MP for speaking up for working people in this weeks PMQs 👏

Morrisons pay offer update ⬇️

Shareholders at Tetrosyl received a dividend of £2 million in 2025 and yet their own staff are set to lose between £4,000 and £7,000 a year 🤔 Tetrosyl - stop the fire and rehire process and get round the table with us 🗣️

@MWheelerMP joined Usdaw members on the picket line last week to oppose Tetrosyl's appalling fire and rehire tactics ✊

In a poll of over 7,000 members, 97% of retail workers are calling for large stores to be closed on Boxing Day. Retail staff deserve a decent break over the festive period after a busy run-up to Christmas - we want to see stores close on Boxing Day going forward to give shopworkers some much-needed time off.
