As abject as Liverpool were (been a while since I’ve seen us quite *that* bad) Brighton were great. Worst bit about it all? Watching the same, familiar patterns unfolding. How many times can 2 passes take 6/7 players out of the game? I can see it coming, and I’m an idiot.

As many have said, the One Love armband was a meek idea to begin with - but the threat of sanctions actually gave it some power. If England, Wales, the Netherlands etc had stood together and said they’d take the punishment, it would have put FIFA in an embarrassing position.
