I’m gonna get flack for saying this… but the Black community is cooked (at least in America). The best and brightest of us have fewer children, or date/have children that date outside our race. And our biggest reproducers, and the people that hold the most capital on the black man/ woman’s image are often the most toxic, and counterproductive. And it’s not that I believe in the nuclear family bullshit. (I’m a whole bisexual that doesn’t believe in marriage or respectability politics) but a part of me does recognize how the lack of stable family formation is putting the black community in a negative feedback loop. I don’t know if that makes sense.
