@jddneary Well said. Re pts 3-4, I wonder whether the way health care conceptualizes/talks about systems (or "the system", ie. as an entity with strong causative power that is largely independent of the individuals within it) has contributed to a reduction of (perceived) agency among HCWs?

Anyway, this is definitely a story about underfunding of health care, and about bad policies within the health care system. But it is also a story about either failure to advocate or resistance to advocacy by people in positions of authority. I hope we find out which one. 7/7

@jddneary When you say "capping services", does that include "capping teams within a service"? (i.e., CTU teams are capped when they reach X patients; if all teams are capped, then an overflow mechanism is activated)

GIM "capping services" for inpatients is a ridiculous idea, I said what I said.

@minhhle As for the last two questions...I'll just say that there are probably no good reasons for either (but others may disagree).

@minhhle 1. I don't think anyone knows for certain why zero is "love." A lot of sources say it is from "l'oeuf" (egg), but I think historians doubt that explanation. 2. Laziness. It was 45 originally, but people shortened it to 40 and it stuck. (At clubs, the 15 is often shortened to "5")

It's got that mid 80s Canadian production style that, at the time, just seemed inferior to US videos/productions. But now, you almost think "we should've leaned into that more"
