I currently have this insurance (corp picks plan). I am type 1 diabetic, the type you get as a kid, currently incurable, autoimmune disease type. I have to get insulin or I die. They deny me EVERY SINGLE MONTH, good thing my wife fights for me, I am sure people like me are dying due to this in droves. It’s a conflict of interest when the insurance company gets to dictate what meds you can and cant have especially when they are required for life. we have to override them EVERY-TIME for the exact same prescription, the exact same meds, this has been going on for over 20 years and my wife and I are absolutely exhausted… (I pay over $1800 a month for this treatment)

@CheyCab When United turned me down for paying for a mammogram when a cyst was found in my breast on an ultrasound, I realized that I would never ever ever voluntarily have that insurance again. Terrible company

@CheyCab Huge pressure from Wall St. on health insurance companies to max profits & constantly cut expenses by sending key functions offshore like customer service, claims processing, appeals, medical case review, etc. It’s ruined the industry. Employees & customers don’t matter anymore.

Last week, I reached out to 20 churches seeking housing for a homeless pregnant woman (20) and her boyfriend (21), who also need housing & parenting support. Only one responded thus far, saying they only help people involved in their church.
