"The contract was cancelled. You saved our lives!" The fake contract of a conscript from Moscow was cancelled an hour after the publication of ASTRA
On April 12, ASTRA published the material about a 21-year-old conscript from military unit 91711, Rafael Karabachtsyan, who was given a contract based on forged documents. Despite appeals to the Presidential Administration and the military prosecutor's office, as well as promises from the command, the contract was not canceled for five and a half months. However, after the publication of ASTRA, a check was carried out in the military unit, after which Karabaktsyan's contract was canceled. This was told by his fiancee Kristina.
"I'm just shocked that this ordeal lasted 5.5 months and once this information was posted on the Internet, it was solved in an hour. It was published yesterday at three o'clock in the afternoon, an investigator came for him at four, they took him away, questioned everything, and today the contract has already been canceled. Is that how it is?!" says the woman.
She said that immediately after the news was published, the military unit began to put pressure on Karabaktsyan, threatening to send him to the border with Ukraine and demanding that the publication be deleted. But later the pressure stopped.
ASTRA has an extract of the commander's order at its disposal, which states that Karabaktsyan's contract must be "canceled as unrealized."
