During #COVID19 we’ve seen how self-monitoring and an open flow of data are key to safeguarding public health. In the future this combination could generate predictive data that would allow nations to allocate resources for targeted early intervention.

The future has many ambitious targets, like #UHC and #SDGs that require new levels of cooperation to achieve. Given the importance of healthcare to these wider goals, it’s great to have people like Dr Hubert Cranz advocate for how self-care can strengthen #healthpolicy.

Everyone has learnt the importance of reaching out and making the most of restrictions, and we’re no exception. That’s why @AlanMain4 and @heiko_schipper capped off the handover of GSCF Chair with a virtual handshake.

As an institution focused on leadership and driving transformation in Africa, ALU has been inspired by the actions of young people across the continent, who have taken the bold steps necessary to drive forward conversations relating to civil rights and good governance.

People have been using mobiles to monitor their health for years, but the outbreak has really put #selfcare front of mind. And being able to use this #healthdata could revolutionise the future of how we manage #publichealth.
