@AlexTalks The article is kind of funny in that, sure, any industry with some material number of gays is going to have some dynamics that looks like this. The story reads more to me as trivially true than as false.

Yes, I am calling this methodology flawed. Their "hidden founder" regression analysis is nonsense on stilts. And Alex's comment here is a huge error people make all the time: assuming that bullshit data is better than no data. startout.org/index/methodol…

@jbarro Are you thinking their cited methodology (startout.org/index/methodol…) is flawed? IMO this piece could’ve used a lot *more* real research and data, even if imperfect, rather than less. As it stands, it’s basically a tabloid trash gossip article.
