Since Sunday, Iโve been testing open-source vision models locally with Ollama for mysaa.lol.
Best results so far: qwen3-vl:30b โ 31.1B Q4_K_M
Still below what ChatGPT 5.5 gives me, but sometimes it really nails it.
This is not just โdescribe the imageโ.
It has to understand the meme, the reference, the joke, the context, and why itโs funny.
And honestly, in June 2026, open-source vision models are getting surprisingly good.
Now Iโm curious to see whether turning memes into proper alt text + context will move the SEO needleโฆ or absolutely nothing.
Either way, fun experiment.

This is the reality 99% of founders quietly hide from.
We call it โone more featureโ, โthe product isnโt readyโ, โSEO firstโ, โIโll automate marketing laterโ.
But most of the time, itโs just fear of confronting the market.
Admitting it is already the first step toward the 1% who make it.
You are even ahead of me.
Iโm still pretending SEO counts as marketing (spent the sunday on auto generating ALT text for images...)
English

Why are developers avoiding marketing like the plague ?
With excuses like :
- product isnโt ready / perfect
- need to add one more feature
- I am bad at it
Iโve been avoiding marketing for a full year now. It is time for a change โฆ
Here are the reasons I gave myself :
- I thought I knew better (obviously didnโt)โฆ.
- I thought unlike other SaaS I wouldnโt need marketing to get clients, that sending my link and having a great product would be enough (ofc not)
- I tried to automate it with asking Claude to do SEO or write content (it sucks)
Now the product is ready. Time to confront it and validate the market or iterate until it is validated.
I want to get started with UGC and trying hooks on instagram and TikTok to see if it converts. Iโll report back with results

Just added a completely useless feature to mrrcalendar.com (so obviously, itโs essential)
You can now add a resizable meme widget to your public page.
Refreshed every 24h.
Because every serious SaaS founder dashboard needs at least one unserious block, right ?

English

@ApplyWiseAi Thank you Pivi!
Why not adding ApplyWise AI into mrrcalendar.com ? it will definitively improve your visibility
English

@AmoremWeb honestly this is the move. showing churn publicly is the kind of honesty most founders chicken out on. respect
English

Not the sexiest mrrcalendar.com update but probably the most realistic one.
The public feed can now show churn too: subscriptions that didnโt renew, failed payments, lost MRR.
Because thatโs part of building in public as well.
Itโs disabled by default, but you can opt in.
I did.
And at this pace, give me one or two more months and Iโll be publicly building my way back to $0 MRR.
Everything is fine.
Just buying time until the next SaaS launches.

Congrats, this is a big one ๐
With $4k revenue, PixelUp would already be one of the top builders on mrrcalendar.com
It could be a nice way to give more visibility to the product and show the small daily steps behind milestones like this.
