BREAKING: A massive line of US Air Force C-17 transport aircraft is currently crossing the Atlantic toward the Middle East, alongside KC-135 refueling tankers. A second wave is already over Europe heading for the eastern Mediterranean. C-17s carry troops, armored vehicles and heavy equipment. This is the largest visible airlift movement since the war began. The Doomsday Plane landed at Andrews tonight for a reason. This may be it.

NSA Bahrain is (was) the headquarters of the U.S. 5th Fleet. It was struck multiple times on 28 February, the opening day of Operation Epic Fury, and several times afterwards. Satellite imagery confirmed at least seven structures destroyed in the first week alone, including communications infrastructure and warehouses. Sailors are arriving in Norfolk with what fit in a backpack. Community groups were called in to provide basic toiletries. #OSINT #OperationEpicFury

It is astounding.

The 4 main differences between the foreign USA and the foreign China from a European perspective
1. China is not laying claim to any territory held by a EU member state
2. China has not actively pushed to start a massive land war on European soil
3. China has not purposely engaged in policies to harm European energy security
4. China does not occupy Europe via post-war treaties and forces on the ground
China is not a European ally...but it is definitely not an enemy like the USA obviously is.

EU jet fuel is at $230/barrel. Why? It has to demand destruct. And it will most likely have to go higher to achieve that. As I said a month ago, jet fuel is ground zero of this crisis. Other fuels will follow.
Here is what it means for Europe. Come mid-April, and certainly into May, expect up to 30% of commercial flights to be cancelled, ceteris paribus. That's my base case.
The realised number will depend on how seaborne jet imports evolve. The EU27 & UK import up to 800kbpd of jet fuel, covering up to 58% of total consumption during peak flight season.
So EU27+UK consume up to 1.4mbpd of jet (August), never less than 0.9mbpd (January). Some 300kbpd of those barrels came from the Mideast Gulf. Those are now at risk, although some may make it out of the Red Sea - the positive case. The negative? Other marginal imported barrels are at risk if Asian buyers outbid European importers. It's dynamic.
It is what it is. Do not be long airlines. And avoid travelling to Asia anytime soon too. Worse there. Like much worse.

What is the American military really trying to achieve by continuing to launch missiles from Kuwait, Bahrain, and the Emirates, even though they know this is triggering weeks of Iranian retaliation and destroying the infrastructure of these countries?
With such overwhelming air power in the region, there would be no need for these missions, unless the real objective is to provoke Iranian reactions in order to pull these Gulf states into the war.
So far, that hasn’t happened as they had hoped.
