On his way to Mshongo, he was reportedly confronted by three Zimbabweans who attempted to rob him of his cellphone, watch, and wallet. When he resisted, a struggle ensued and he was overpowered. As the suspects were leaving, they noticed that he was carrying chicken feet and allegedly demanded them, and wanted to give him back his phone, watch, and wallet. He refused to hand them over, stating that they were for his wife. The refusal reportedly led to further assault. The victim fought back and managed to overpower the attackers. The suspects fled with his wallet, watch, and cellphone, but without the chicken feet. A case of assault and robbery has been opened at Atteridgeville Police Station.
