@alexhillman How you guys using so many MCP. I load up two of them and half my context window is full. I’ve turned to asking for everything to be made into a CLI based skill.

here's something I didn't understand for a LONG time while building my AI exec assistant. sometimes, an MCP will be missing a feature. other times, you won't find an MCP for the tool you want to connect to. did you know...you can ask claude code to fix or create MCP servers? it's kinda obvious in hindsight, but the first time was when the gmail MCP was missing a specific label function i used. I tried 3 MCPs and none got it right. so I asked claude "hey is that an api limitation, or MCP limitation?" and it searched out the docs to find the API supported it...and offered to patch the MCP. that's when i was like OF COURSE an MCP is just a little bit of code running on my computer, so OF COURSE it can edit that! more recently, I realized that the discord MCP had a bug where it saw panel messages as empty instead of reading into their contents. I just asked my assistant to fix it. found and fixed in 30 seconds. problem solved. you can too!

Hooray for Claude Code, beads, n8n, and lots and lots of markdown - all wrapped in Obsidian... Start each day with /daily-plan (or /daily-plan --tomorrow, in tonight's case) 👉 Tracks against my goals (biz + personal) 👉 Pushes back if I'm doing dumb shit 👉 Tracks it all in .md notes + beads tasks 👉 Has total context (RightMessage, personal stuff, other business-y things, and whatever else I want to throw at it)

@alexhillman Which is why I asked (nicely). 😉 Yeah, I could point claude at your post on bookmarks and the associated repo and say make this, but I wanted your exact spin on it as a jumping off point.

the wildest thing I'm experiencing since sharing my claude code stuff is internet randos demanding that I share my code with them, as if the code was the valuable part anymore. my decisions, my thinking, my planning...that's the valuable part. 😉

@omarsaleemmd Thanks so much for considering! As you know, I could likely just point Claude code at whatever you send and make something happen.

Let me see if I can share the obsidian markdown. The biggest hurdle was to make it organize it in a way that is optimal for LLMs rather than humans. And second was to make sure it delineates longitudinal data well as previous dashboards I made really got lost in the dates confusing when things happened and how they trended.

Have been playing around with MCPs and knowledge graphs lately and Obsidian is probably the most powerful longevity hub I have ever used. What it does well is natively build around knowledge graph and the neural and longitudinal nature of data while allowing for interconnected relationships. And this is done in text which LLMs read well. Years of patient history processed in the proper way without too much noise. Most beautiful thing...all run locally.

2 years ago when GPT-4 launched, i committed to using AI for everything... deliberately as brain extension, never brain replacement since then i've been obsessed - constantly testing, iterating, building deeper understanding... but the thing i didn't see coming was that mental clarity at levels i've never experienced before my thinking operates differently now, systematic frameworks instead of problem loops and i feel so sharp i used to stay awake at night cycling through scenarios and wondering how to handle my shit... now i'm able to just offload these loops i'm not thinking less, i'm thinking in patterns, my energy shifted from solving specific problems to building systems that eliminate problem categories entirely most of it is applying to business rn but i'm confident it can help in other departments... what's your take on this?

So one of my 1st “small caps” that I still hold is $OMI Apparently on November 19th people will not be able to withdraw their gems to cash but have to convert to $OMI if they want to “cash out” To me this eliminates the need to KUC? Lots to digest Am I getting this right?
