THERE IS NO WORLD where D'banj would ever outstream PRIME P-Square. Nobody is arguing D’banj’s impact, that run of his was loud, dominant and unforgettable. But P-Square were on a different kind of madness. They didn’t just drop hits, they dropped eras. They made the kind of songs that lived everywhere. From clubs, to weddings, cars, streets and more importantly, the kind people keep going back to without even thinking. If streaming existed in their peak, their catalog would farm numbers daily. Even in the CD era, when Alaba International Market was controlling distribution and piracy was everywhere, P-Square still moved like giants. That tells you the level of demand they had. Numbers were already bending around them in a system that wasn’t even designed to track properly. D’banj comes second, no shame in that. Big records, huge cultural moments, undeniable presence. But his run leaned more on moments than deep, repeatable catalog strength. And people really need to stop sidelining 2Baba. He may not hit you with back-to-back club anthems like P-Square, but that man has one of the cleanest Nigerian albums ever made. Timeless music. The kind you sit with, grow with, return to years later. If anything, that style helps streaming. It ages slower. It stays in rotation longer. I wouldn’t be shocked if, over time, he edges D’banj in streams simply because his music lives in people’s everyday listening, not just their hype moments. So yeah, P-Square will be at the top, comfortably. D’banj right behind. And 2Baba? Quietly racking up numbers in a completely different lane.

D’banj will definitely give P Square run for their money if streaming was a thing, 2Baba would be the least most streamed amongst the big 3 of that generation cos he’s more of substance oriented artist. D’banj throws lamba a lot he might out-stream P Square.
