They need a payment structure that reflects this and bills them in real time and by the second. $METR fixes that. Autonomous agents don't operate on predictable schedules. They spin up compute, inference, GPUs, or coordinate with other agents in short bursts that can vary significantly in duration and demand. Traditional subscription models aren't designed for that. @metrpay addresses the issue through metered billing: start a session, end a session, and settle instantly using prepaid USDC or native tokens.
