Thousands of Lebanese people returned to their cities and towns in South Lebanon after a 10-day ceasefire was announced, knowing they might be returning to destroyed homes. ￭ While Israel bombed bridges throughout the war, the people and local authorities in Lebanon have concluded preliminary fixes allowing citizens to return to their villages and cities. ￭ The ceasefire remains fragile and the return occurs despite statements from the resistance requesting people hold off given the treacherous nature of the enemy and the risks that remain in villages where IOF remains positioned.
