@wcmclaa@BarbellFi And now he has over a million liquid…meanwhile people who rented likely didn’t save or invest their extra money (based off statistics) and paid all that monthly rent with nothing to show for it except rising annual rent that they are still paying.
My friend’s dad is a typical boomer
Bought his house for $220k in 1989
Sold it last month for $2 million
His stock portfolio is up 3,000%
He retired last week at 62 years old
And just filed for social security
The boomer timeline will be studied for generations to come 🙂
@MatrixMysteries The same people who demanded that McDonald's pay their employees a minimum of $20 an hour are now complaining that the price of French Fries went up.
McDonald’s Price Increases from 2019 to 2024:
Medium French Fry $1.79 -> $4.19
Big Mac $3.99 -> $7.49
10 McNuggets $4.49 -> $7.58
Cheeseburger $1.00 -> $3.15
Most of this is over a 200% INCREASE in price. This isn’t just inflation — it’s legalized robbery.
@MatrixMysteries Also worth noting, McDonald's was forced to pay its employees $16/hr in NY, $20/hr in CA, $17 in WA, $18 in DC etc etc. Of course fast food prices went up. The COGS rose dramatically. The fact that lawmakers didnt see that coming is very scary.
@toyotariii@DaTruthDT@FlockCwood His worst playoff game since 2019 and the defense still had a chance to end the game, but didn't.
Josh Allen has been one of the best ever in the playoffs before this game, and remains on that list even after.
@DaTruthDT@FlockCwood Held Broncos to 6 yards in the third. This wouldn't be a game if he didn't put the ball in harms way FIVE TIMES. More turnovers = more chances for the opposing team to score.
Groceries for 2 people.
Will last us maybe 5 days.
I don’t know how people do it. This country is becoming unbearably expensive.
2k monthly groceries
Not counting if you want to go to a restaurant once a week, add another 1k.
Slaves used to work all day, every day with no pay.
But they got free food, water, and shelter.
Today, we work all day, nearly every day and we get paid.
But the money we make we spend on food, water, and shelter.
We’re still slaves, the only thing that has changed is the illusion of freedom.
@FernFlaman@TuscanyBayBooks@CoachBroker Really? You dont think its a possibility? Id say its likely. We'll kmow more after the investigation, unless the NFL sweeps it under the rug again
@Bjopp@TuscanyBayBooks@CoachBroker Ya my bad. I thought you bringing up your experience was you trying to justify the profession. Didn’t realize you were some dummy thinking Russini is some Bond villain trading rival team secrets to her secret lover.
Explain to me why I should care about an NFL HC and a reporter having an affair?
The only people that should care are the spouses. Why is this such a big deal. I don’t get it.
@FernFlaman@TuscanyBayBooks@CoachBroker What? This makes no sense. Mike Vrabel cant go into other teams locker rooms....
....but his girlfriend can.
Understand now?
@FernFlaman@TuscanyBayBooks@CoachBroker I covered the NFL for 15 years. I was in the locker room every Monday and Wednesday. There is far more information one could gather than info from a coach's mouth
@CoachBroker Ethics. Shes an NFL reporter, she has access to 32 NFL facilities, locker rooms, coaches, players.
The investigation is to make sure she didn't give information to Vrabel, hold stories, or run stories for Vrabel, etc.
@Bjopp@PghPennStateDad@Retrievals1 That illegal merger was prevented. Merging was not prevented. When the Jet Blue merger was in play, Spirit said they did not need to merge. Talks had resumed last fall between Spirit and Jet Blue. Spirit’s business model called for the cheap fuel Trump had promised.
@KateFangman@PghPennStateDad@Retrievals1 Again the merger was prevented. Obviously they didn't want to merge with frontier as they could have done that when the JB merger was shut down.
@Bjopp@PghPennStateDad@Retrievals1 No, only the illegal merger with Jet Blue was prevented. Nothing was done by the federal government to prevent the deal they had reached with Frontier before Jet Blue offered a higher stock price.
