That's exactly what's happening in Houston right now. This is a Muharram Juloos - the public street procession during Muharram, the "holiest" mourning month for Shia Muslims. It commemorates the killing of Imam Hussain and his family at Karbala in 680 AD. Shia mark it with black flags, loud chants, and synchronized chest-beating (matam), where men rhythmically pound their own chests, sometimes with chains, to relive the grief. We didn't grow this here. We imported it by bringing in millions from third-world Muslim countries where public self-beating and street takeovers are normal. Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, and similar places send the people, and their customs follow. The result? Texas streets turned into scenes that belong in Karachi or Karbala, not America. They could mourn quietly inside the mosque. They choose to do it outside in your face. WHY are we importing the thrird world,,,, It's third-world culture imported and normalized on American soil.
