Captain Shreve will be virtual again tomorrow due to the water main break. Students should check their Canvas account tomorrow after 8am for virtual assignments. Athletic events on campus will resume as scheduled, as will games scheduled outside of Caddo Parish.

The Captain Shreve Library is promoting reading this year with a READING CHALLENGE! Last year, our students and faculty read 79,362,440 words! Our goal this year is to read 100,000,000 words! As of October, we've read 31,140,026 — so keep reading to help us reach our goal!

Captain Shreve High School has been recognized as a Top 50 CLEP High School, a distinction awarded to the top national CLEP institutions whose students earned the highest number of college credits through CLEP exams during the 2024-25 academic year.

Wednesday, 11/12, from 4-9:PM is city-wide fundraiser night at Baskin-Robbins on Ellerbe Road and Youree Drive. The school with the most school spirit in sales wins the proceeds for the whole night! Mention Shreve when you order! Get your ice cream AND support Captain Shreve!

On October 22 and 23 the library hosted the annual Book Fair to celebrate National Book Month and showcase our school-wide reading culture. 11 students created presentations for guest judges. The following students presented on literacy issues, YA books, and book series.

We’re excited to share that we are piloting digital report cards this grading period. As part of our continued efforts to improve communication and streamline access to student information, we encourage all parents to download the JCampus App.
