He hasn't even really barreled the ball, less than last year actually (sample), he's just making such good contact that it hasn't mattered yet His plate discipline has been, (again, sample) phenomenal too, if he can keep this up the Mets entire season outlook changes radically.

Early results for Mark Vientos this year have been EXTREMELY promising on an analytical level Mark succeeded in 2024 by swinging hard and barreling the fuck out of the ball, but he struck out too much, and Eric Chavez, in trying to fix this, COMPLETELY fucked him up...

@Jolly_Olive As always this makes sense. Also of note they missed playoffs by a tie breaker. Punting multiple games first week of season sometimes can impact said season at the end.
