Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) keeps getting dismissed over a thirty-second origin gag, while the rest of the film just moves. Train heist, Donald Glover locking into Lando & a crew dynamic that actually clicks. It never really got judged on what it is.

Live Free or Die Hard (2007) is better than the franchise reputation it gets stuck with. The practical stunts, and the McClane–Justin Long dynamic give it real personality. The fifth film collapsed the brand, but this one doesn’t belong in that category.

The best decision Rian Johnson made in TLJ was killing off the pointless Emperor knockoff so that Adam Driver’s Kyle Ren could be front and center of the new universe, so of course the first think RoS did was just bring back the Emperor.

Maybe we took Pierce Brosnan for granted as 007. This guy was the perfect Bond at the perfect time - he was exactly what this franchise needed in the late ‘90s. I’ve said it before but I would love a reboot with Brosnan as an older, retired Bond pulled back into the force.

All due respect but you need to get educated on how this business works before constantly tweeting out stuff like this. The cost of transforming this into a theatrical release bucks the cost UP TREMENDOUSLY. Not only in production expenses (whereby ALL PARTIES can demand significantly higher rates) but also in marketing. Had Disney left this TV Movie on streaming, the total cost would have likely been about HALF of what it was, largely due to a significantly smaller marketing spend. Think maybe $50-75M instead of $130M+ . This film will finish likely under $400M and Disney will lose roughly $100M on it. And it will be VERY PUBLIC as opposed to a more easily concealed failure on D+. The commercial damage this film performance is doing right now for Star Wars cant be overlooked. It’s atrocious when analysts are using garbage like Shang Chi and The Marvels to compare it to.
