@brianmccormick @ExpoHoops It is a positive for some players and not for others. If a player hopes to earn a degree in sports management, for ex, then they are best served to be networked within their university to help them when their playing career ends

@1frm_sanantonio At the college level sure but not at the hs level in terms of having to pay. At least in Illinois. If you’re a top 30 kid you’re not paying for aau. Shoot if you’re a legit d2 prospect good chance you’re not paying lol

I have not actually seen anyone give any examples of this being the case. I don't know any certified D1 prospects who had to pay for AAU. This includes EYBL, 3 Stripes Etc. All the kids who held D1 offers pre AAU played free. 100s of cases/instances likely in 1000s since 6yrs+.

The mistake most coaches make: They coach everyone the same. Yell at beginners. Over direct/coach advanced players. Under challenge talented kids. Over hype low-skill kids. Situational Leadership says: 👉 Match the leadership to the development stage. If you want long term basketball growth your coaching style has to evolve as the players evolve.

@CoachAlisonQueb Well kudos to you clearly you have excellent coaching and interpersonal communication skills and kudos to the parents cuz I've seen some parents who are unrealistic and problematic regardless of how fair people are so props to them as well

I think it's two fold because coaches have to be excited about the different roles and the parents have to be excited about the different roles parents always get excited about the handle the shooting the scoring what about the rebounds the steals deflections assist
