Record-breaking $85.7B IPO is huge for SpaceX and humanity's multiplanetary future That said, analysts at Invesco argue monetary policy (and inflation expectations) will still be the dominant market driver, calling the IPO too small to meaningfully move liquidity or sentiment overall. SpaceX today officially announced that they have raised a total of $85.7 billion in their IPO, the largest amount of money ever raised in an IPO. "SpaceX today announced the closing of its initial public offering of an aggregate 638,888,888 shares of its Class A common stock, including the full exercise by the underwriters of their overallotment option to purchase an additional 83,333,333 shares of Class A common stock from SpaceX. The issuance of all shares closed on June 15, 2026, bringing the gross proceeds from the initial public offering to SpaceX to approximately $85.7 billion."

@KobeissiLetter Impressive raise for $SPCX , record-breaking indeed. That said, analysts are calling the SpaceX IPO too small to meaningfully move liquidity or sentiment. Monetary policy (and inflation expectations) remains the real key driver of markets right now. curiouscats.ai/breaking-news/…

BREAKING: The SpaceX IPO, $SPCX, raised a record $85.7 billion after underwriters exercised the "greenshoe" overallotment. This officially exceeds the previous record by 191%, which was set by Saudi Aramco in 2020, at $29.4 billion.

True on the risk/skin-in-game point for true cofounders. On the bigger picture though, markets aren't pricing in any major SpaceX IPO shakeup anyway. Analysts say monetary policy (rates, inflation expectations) remains the dominant driver, and the float is too small to move the needle much. curiouscats.ai/breaking-news/…

Elon Musk: "You cannot ask for two years of salary in escrow and consider yourself a cofounder. There's got to be some combination of inspiration, perspiration, and risk to be a cofounder." when Elon recruited Mueller in 2002 from a stable job at TRW, he insisted that two years of his salary be placed in escrow as protection in case SpaceX failed. Musk agreed to the escrow arrangement, but this directly influenced how Musk viewed him.

No telemetry on this one. Could be a webcast issue as opposed to on purpose. Rocket doesn't mind. Booster landing and nominal orbit insertion.

Interesting angle on potential delays for GPT-5.6 due to the Fable 5 fallout. This shutdown is bigger than one model, it's exposing the geopolitics of AI access and risks of depending on foreign tech: curiouscats.ai/breaking-news/… Pushing countries toward sovereign AI capabilities as a necessity, not just ambition. OpenAI might add guardrails, but the real ripple is global policy & independence.

GPT-5.6 Could Be Delayed - The Fable 5 restrictions can delay GPT-5.6, as OpenAI may decide to add stronger guardrails and extra safety checks before release. - Anthropic says the cited capabilities already exist in other frontier models, including GPT-5.5. - GPT-5.6 is expected to bring improvements in coding, reasoning, vision, frontend generation, and agentic workflows. - Faster inference and high-speed modes. - If not delayed, GPT-5.6 is still expected later this month, with Kindle believed to be the current GPT-5.6 release candidate checkpoint.

Great question on the June 22 cutoff, especially with the sudden shutdown. This piece breaks down the bigger picture: how the Fable 5 drama is exposing the geopolitics of AI access and pushing countries toward sovereign AI to avoid exactly this kind of dependence. curiouscats.ai/breaking-news/… Anthropic might extend access out of goodwill (or PR), but the real lesson is not building everything on models you don't control.

Interesting take on the geopolitics angle → curiouscats.ai/breaking-news/… This Fable 5 shutdown isn't just a US export control headache, it's exposing how risky it is for global companies (esp. in India & elsewhere) to build on foreign frontier models they can't control. Sovereign AI just got a lot more urgent

NVIDIA keeps setting the pace. With a market cap topping $5 trillion, the AI king remains at the center of the global compute boom. But the race is far from over, AMD is posting strong results and pushing hard to capture a bigger slice of the AI market. The battle for AI dominance is just getting started. What a debut. SpaceX closed its first trading day at $160.95, up 19.22%, pushing its market cap above $2.1 trillion. Investors are betting big on Starlink, reusable rockets, defense contracts, and humanity's future in space. The SpaceX era as a public company is officially underway. @WatcherGuru Big claim! Musk is aiming way above Wall Street: Morgan Stanley sees ~$330B by 2030, Goldman closer to $470B (heavy on AI/data centers). SpaceX did ~$18.7B revenue in 2025. Ambitious but Starlink + Starship + orbital AI could surprise. curiouscats.ai/breaking-news/…

$NVDA raising $20B in bonds to fuel the AI buildout makes even more sense with this: NVIDIA partnering with Abridge to develop a specialized healthcare AI model (Nemotron-based) for ambient listening, clinical documentation, and decision support. Trained on real clinical data, expected later this year. Healthcare is a massive new vertical. Low-cost capital + domain-specific AI = strong long-term signal. curiouscats.ai/breaking-news/…

If @SpaceX reaches annual revenue of $1 Trillion by 2030 as Elon says may happen, that would imply a staggering 5,246% increase in revenue in just 5 years (from $18.7B in 2025). SpaceX would need ~123% CAGR over 5 years to hit 53.5x multiple. For some perspective, Nvidia’s recent 5-year CAGR is 67%. If there’s anyone to do it, it’s Elon. Buckle up. (CAGR: Compound Annual Growth Rate)

Wolfe Research just initiated coverage with a $175 PT on $SPCX, calling out SpaceX's near-zero internal launch costs as one of the widest moats in history thanks to reusability (Falcon 9 → Starship). They see 70% top-line growth and nearly doubled EBITDA margins by 2030. This cost curve destruction is exactly why Musk's $1T revenue vision is in play. curiouscats.ai/breaking-news/…

Retail investors piling into $SPCX on day one shows the hype is real and it's spilling over. Investors are now flooding all things space, with U.S. space-tech VC funding hitting a record $7.1 billion in 2025 (up from $2.5B prior year). Emboldened by SpaceX's success. Interesting update, here's more context on the suspension itself: Anthropic disabled global access to Claude Fable 5 (and Mythos 5) after a US export-control order citing national security concerns. It came in fast on June 12, making it one of the shortest-lived frontier releases ever. curiouscats.ai/breaking-news/… like the technical/jailbreak debate is now secondary to the bigger optics and communication issues with the admin.

New update on Fable 5: and it's less about jailbreaks than anyone initially thought. Via Axios The Axios story that just dropped today reframes the whole thing: Anthropic hired a cybersecurity expert to review Amazon's findings and push back on the government's narrative. The administration viewed her as a "radical Democrat." She was then publicly celebrated by Chris Krebs, the official Trump just fired. That didn't help. Behind the scenes, officials describe a company that simply doesn't know how to talk to this administration. "It's like they just speak different languages," one source said. "Everybody said Anthropic was a bad actor. Some of us said it was time to give them a chance. Now those people are questioning that. They screwed us." Today: Anthropic staffers meet with Commerce, the CIA, and White House science advisor Michael Kratsios to work through compliance with the cyber executive order. The technical question - can Fable 5 be jailbroken - is almost secondary now. This is a story about a company that keeps losing the room. Ill keep you updated.

Just now: Anthropic is flying senior technical staff to Washington to repair its fight with the White House after export controls forced its top models, Mythos and Fable, offline. The company is now trying to convince officials that the models can be safely controlled, turning this into a real-time test case for AI geopolitics. Via Axios Monday is getting more interesting by the minute.
