$ATOM After a wave of undelegations throughout November and December, ATOMs bonded ratio fell off a cliff from over 62% down to 53.8%. We're now back above 54.5% which is still extremely low and shows investors' confidence in ATOM is weak. For those who still have strong confidence, the staking APY is at 20% right now, with inflation capped at 10%. Since the new Cosmos leadership announcement in mid December, ATOMs bonded ratio has remained flat. Question is now whether ATOM can finally be positioned as a true interchain service provider & decentralized router, restoring investors confidence or if all attempts are simply coming too late. As a midcurver and fundamental believer in Cosmos, the Appchain thesis, IBC, sovereignty and the internet of blockchains, I still believe that the Hub has one final attempt to get it right. But time is running out. Competition within Cosmos is ramping up and the Solanas & Bases of the world are leaps ahead when it comes to adoption, awareness, venture onboarding, value capture, revenue and engagement. That said, I still hold on to my ATOM but it is less than 8% of my portfolio, simply because other holdings of mine have outperformed. Couple things that ATOM has which makes it so resilient: - Survived multiple civil wars - Still has a core community of hardcore believers, - Listed on all exchanges and has decent liquidity / trade volumes - Still around within the top 60 by market cap I definitely have strong confidence in the new leadership with Mag & Barry at the steering wheel. They are young, ambitious, smart and well respected. If ATOM has managed to survive this long, despite years of uncoordinated efforts, unclear leadership, and countless failed product launches, imagine where it could go if all of that were finally fixed.
