Author & Potawatomi Nation citizen Kaitlin Curtice visited East Ward Elementary, sharing her book Winter’s Gifts during Native American Heritage Month! Students explored themes of identity, community, & nature through Indigenous storytelling. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth

EW set up an educational display on Dominican faceless dolls. These dolls, crafted without faces, symbolize unity, diversity, and the blending of cultures in Dominican identity. They remind us that, despite outward differences, we’re all connected by our shared humanity. #unity

Downingtown East High School’s H.Y.P.E. Club celebrates, “NATIONAL WORLD KINDNESS DAY.” Today we showed kindness by offering KIND bars to students and staff, painted signs throughout the school, and used the morning announcements as a platform to share out message.
