More Nationalist nonsense. Scotland habitually runs a trade deficit — between 2-9% GDP including oil/gas, 5-12% excluding oil/gas.
Whisky Kiss@whiskykiss_

@afneil Scotland is the only export-led economy in these islands (every single year since records began, go check) The rUK is an import junkie who booted Scotland out the world's biggest single market. Prosperity is European not British in the 21C Time Scotland had its reunification🇪🇺

While patrolling the skies over the Middle East, a U.S. Navy F/A-18 fighter jet is refueled a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker. The world's greatest military routinely makes critical logistical missions look seamless.

I would really love to have an honest conversation about why these teen takeovers are 95% Black without everyone calling me a racist. I’ve been covering these for months and they are nearly ALL Black teens without their parents. Why? Why is like this?

Reform got 3,825,559 votes in the local and devolved elections. One million more than their nearest rival. Don’t let media trivia distract from this great revolution against the establishment by the people. @reformparty_uk

🚨 Labour’s private school VAT raid is pushing over 65,000 children out of independent education 1 in 10 pupils. The Adam Smith Institute says this is 3x worse than the government predicted, with 115 schools already closed. These kids aren’t disappearing they’re flooding into already oversubscribed state schools. Bigger classes, longer waiting lists, overstretched teachers, and crumbling buildings. Standards will fall for every child. Taxpayers face an extra £500m+ bill a year, while the policy likely loses money overall. Ideological vandalism that punishes aspiration. Britain’s children deserve better. #EducationFail #StateSchoolCrisis #LabourFail #VATRaid

1958: a British fishmonger had cod, haddock, plaice, sole, herring, mackerel, sprats, kippers, smoked haddock, eels, oysters, mussels, cockles, whelks, brown shrimp, and crab on his slab. All landed within the week. All from British waters. 2026: a British supermarket has tilapia from Vietnam, salmon from a Norwegian feedlot, and a tray of "white fish bites" of unspecified species. The North Sea is still there. The boats are still in the harbour. Somewhere between 1958 and now, the fish stopped reaching the customer.

As Gordon comes in to “save” the economy it’s worth remembering 2010, when Nigel Farage was an MEP in the European Parliament and Gordon Brown was Prime Minister. Starmer thinks we’ve forgotten. We haven’t! GLORIOUS 🔥

So far Starmer’s efforts to save his skin have been a classic case study in how not to save your skin: The most unpopular Labour PM in history (Starmer) calls in aid the second most unpopular Labour PM in history (Brown). With most Labour MPs despising you and willing to grant you, at most, a civilised stepping down over some months, you say you’ll be in power for a decade. Labour MPs’ worst nightmare. You commission a propaganda film of you, Brown, Rachel Reeves and Harriet Harman looking smug and self-satisfied in the Downing Street garden, complete with meaningful music. How divorced from public opinion can you be? You signal you’re fresh out of new blood (Brown? Harman?) and new ideas (getting close to the EU is the best you can come up with — hardly a game changer). You think a ‘reset’ speech (again!) can turn things round? You’re truly delusional. THE END.
