It's mad this time last season Liverpool beat Chelsea 4-1 to go 5 points clear at the top of the Premier League on 51 points. We are on 53 points at the same time this season 6 points clear. But the perception is we are way better this season when the reality is we are in the same position as last season. We were eventually let down by the lack of squad depth coming from FSG lack of investment and ran out of steam by March. Be interesting to see how Slot does with that this season especially considering he rotates less than Klopp.
