Congratulations to all the nominees and Juno winners at last night’s 2026 Juno Awards. In 1980, I hosted the awards show, where I performed my new release at the time, “Fine State of Affairs,” apparently dressed like this. Looking back, it’s definitely a “what was I thinking?” moment.

RE: Credentialism Credentialism is killing Western society. Credentials used to be based on experience and success. Somewhere along the way paper credentials alone became more important than using those paper credentials to achieve success. And the people with that paper decided that only those who thought like them could have such paper. Our society nearly disintegrated during COVID thanks to credentialism. So many segments of our society are floundering based on a perverse view of credentials. I have a lot of credentials myself, which is part of why have such scorn for people who rely on their credentials alone rather than put forth compelling, persuasive arguments as part of logical debate. Also. I’m still sick in bed and bored so I wrote another song.

How the new "Supergirl" teaser trailer looks to me: Something blurry floating through space. Background 60s music: "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted" (so meta, so foreshadowing). A really dark nasty junky looking table with spilled beer bottles and a dog walking on it. A machine from the 50s starts to spark. A superman voice message playing on tv, again in a very dark room. Another shot so dark, I can't tell what Im looking at. Then, a brighter shot of a hand playing with an ipod. The "Supergirl" title card, followed by "new trailer tomorrow." Guys, I dont need another trailer to tell me to avoid this. GUNN HATES SUPERHEROES. He ruined Superman for me. He ruined Peacemaker for me. They're obviously using DEI cinematographers to shoot this movie. And if this trailer is indicative of how low quality has sunk at DC under him... ...no way am I shelling out $20+ to see this hopeless dreary piece of crap.
