@lite_thespark @rex_shadao Sorry but supplementary material should ADD ONTO the media, not replace it’s storyline. I don’t excuse the prequels for doing this with their books and The Clone Wars show, and I won’t excuse the sequels for the same. The story should tell a story, not tell you a fraction of it.

The problem comes from the flaws of TFA. A lot of the problems I have with TLJ (and I do have a lot) comes from TFA's flaws being amplified by TLJ. The biggest one is honestly the New Republic, or lack of there of.

The problem is TLJ doesn’t understand the characters it’s supposed to portray. The Mandalorian s1 proved that fans will enjoy new Star Wars if the stories and characters are written well AND consistently. TLJ being the best of the sequels because it tries new things =/= it’s good

George is 100% right. The Mandalorian s1 is proof alone that people want new stories and characters and worlds, you just have to make the story GOOD. TFA and ROS are just nostalgia slop and TLJ doesn’t understand the world and its characters. I’d rather we just let SW die.
