@chisinRPL I always wanted to do this in Dota years ago, and give each team their own song, but the copyrights... We even considering creating songs for them, but the process was too complex.
Question: Should keep this player walkout for Week 2? If we are keeping it, what else would you like us to try to do?
(Personally thinking if we should have unique walkout for each team with their own theme songs and light show)
Tomorrow, I'll share the streaming platforms era, and why I truly believe it set back Chinese esports.
If you want to read the longer version: tinyurl.com/4tdvyhrv
I started following Chinese esports around 2010–2011 as a Dota fan.
That obsession eventually took me to Shanghai for eight years.
I didn't just watch this industry unfold. I worked inside it. (oh God was it fun and frustrzting)
Two nights ago, I couldn't sleep; so I decided to write about China esports.
🧵Western players fit esports around their lives.
Chinese players built their lives around esports.
The difference was money. And it showed.
(2008. Most people didn't know what esports was)
FlyQuest CEO Brian Anderson 🇺🇸 on tier 2 esports:
"We dropped the program not because we don't love grassroots esports [...] but it just didn't make any sense"
"Riot told us if our team won, we couldn't get promoted into Disguised's franchise slot AND there was no cash reward for winning... so what's the point of competing?"

Hey DOTA 2 community 👋
I've been casting with ESL for many years and I love every minute of it. Though with tournament schedules tightening up lately, I’m even hungrier to step up to bigger stages, show what I can really do, and work with new productions.
Below is my showreel, containing some of my favourite casts that highlight the hype, enthusiasm and love I have for this game and the scene.
Producers, TOs & teams — my DMs are wide open 📩 Would love the chance to cast for you!
RTs & shares would mean the world thank you so much!! ❤️

@WHOOP just filed a lawsuit against us.
A $10B company with 800+ employees is scared of us, a 20-person team making health tracking accessible to all.
Rather than focusing on product and innovation, Whoop has decided to use its newly raised capital on lawfare.
In this video, I share our side of the story, explain why their claims are baseless, and why we believe fighting back is the right thing to do.
Sometimes I feel it would be nice if some "players" (not only the ones playing, but also those shaping this industry) had a newsletter.
Raw takes, behind-the-scenes stuff. I would read that.
@subzidite2@eternalfiregg Is it really the reason or it's an assumption? MLBB is growing quite rapidly in Turkey. It could be a coincidence? What do you think?
