No consistency and professionalism. This is a sports filled with money and nobody is working to make VAR professionals and consistent. Let me explain 1. Consistency — The reasoning and explanation given for Amad and Maguire incidents completely different. For Amad, the reasoning was the foul was on upper body and there wasn’t enough pull for Amad to fall “like that”. For Evanilson, the argument was that Maguire didn’t attempt to play the ball so that was a foul. How do you expect consistency if the reasonings aren’t consistent. If the same rules were applied (challenging for the ball or upper body contact) then either both of them were penalties or both of them were non fouls. How are we into 5th/6th year of VAR and VAR officials just working on their vibes? There is not a checklist for them to follow. Watch other sports and you would understand what I mean. 2. Professionalism — When I hear VAR officials, it doesn’t sound like professionals on their job, rather it’s friends talking. At times they are shouting over one another. In this video, the linesman saying “mate”. In other sports, video officials will sound boring but they will act professionally. They will be calm and try to objectively assess the situation. They won’t make it feel like chaotic situation. Scrap VAR unless you can fix these issues. These officials are just not trained for these.

Match Officials Mic’d Up is finally available & it fully demonstrates the hypocrisy in play between the Amad non-penalty & the Harry Maguire red card. Same action, polar opposite decisions - both are upper-body/arm contact in the penalty area. Truffert’s is minimised as “just a hand on the shoulder.. not sufficient.. nothing significant.. goes down very easy.” Maguire’s identical incident is maximised as “not challenging for the ball at all.. clearly reaches out.. holding offence.” This isn’t a “judgment call” grey area. The same officials applying laws like a roulette wheel. Maguire’s called it a fucking joke.. & with this audio finally available, turns out he was bang on. Who’d have thought they would proved him right?

It was surprising how the referee could see these two incidents so differently, but he gets one look so you cut him some slack & VAR was brought in to correct his mistakes But for them to look at it multiple times & still make the same mistake is utterly baffling #MUFC #ManUtd

@utdreport DCL twice hitting people in the face and didn’t get a foul called on him for either. Both are at minimum yellow cards, if not red.

• Clear penalty on Matheus Cunha by William Saliba — NO foul! • Saliba grabbing Altay Bayındır’s hand — NO foul + score. • Clear foul on Bryan Mbeumo denying a goal-scoring chance — NO red card. • Semenyo grabbing Dalot by the throat — NO red card. • Multiple handballs by Bournemouth in the box — NO penalty. • Lisandro Martínez goal wrongly disallowed for a “foul” that never existed — robbed us of 3 points. • Amad Diallo pulled and pushed in the box — NO penalty… same situation with Harry Maguire on the other end — penalty given. • Leny Yoro elbowed in the face — play on! • And then Lisandro Martínez gets sent off for actually trying to win the ball while Calvert-Lewin hands are all over his face. Same league, same rules… completely different decisions when it comes to Manchester United. This are just a few decisions that VAR got completely wrong against us this season and i have probably missed some, but you get the point — it’s Manchester United against everyone always. Make it make sense… 🤦‍♂️
