After 40 years classified as Endangered, the green turtle (𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘢 𝘮𝘺𝘥𝘢𝘴), a CMS-listed species, has been reclassified by @IUCNRedList to Least Concern, marking the first time an endangered marine turtle has moved to a non-threatened category. 🌊🐢 Ahead of #CMSCOP15 in Campo Grande, Brazil (23-29 March 2026), this is proof that sustained international cooperation can reverse declines for migratory species.
