In reality, someone completely made that up and there is no credible source. What credible reporting actually says: - She regularly drank about one energy drink per day leading up to her death (it led to cumulative stress on her heart). - Her lawyer explicitly said it wasn’t a case of drinking a large number in one sitting. It was ongoing consumption over time. - The case is being framed around long-term caffeine exposure, not just one extreme binge/six cans. So where did the six cans per day claim come from? I guess we’ll never know. But what we know is that people have now used this lie to say “she and her parents deserved it for being dumb” in all kinds of ways.
