A Unified Message to All As you are all now aware, His Excellency Peter Obi is going to be our new presidential candidate and the face of this movement. We call on everyone to vigorously market and promote our candidate with honour and facts. We will not attack or abuse any other candidate, and we expect the same courtesy in return. If you abuse Peter Obi or attempt to tarnish his character, be ready we will respond accordingly. We prefer peace, but if it is a fight you bring, we are more than ready to meet it. To my dear Northern brothers and sisters: Do not come to my page with religious or tribal attacks. They will not work here i won't tolerate it. We who support this movement believe Nigeria belongs to everyone Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Christian, Muslim, and all others. Our strength lies in our unity, not in division. The unity of our nation is what we dream of and will continue to fight for. My reasons for supporting Peter Obi are clear: his outstanding track record as Governor of Anambra State and the positive plans he has for my region the Northern Nigeria. No one can stop or intimidate us. As true Kwankwasiyya, we do not fear challenges we welcome them as opportunities to prove our determination and strength.Peter Obi and Kwankwaso represent our new project for a New Nigeria. We will take this message to the markets, homes, chambers, streets, and every corner of this country. We will campaign with passion and sell this vision to our people. To all supporters of this movement: This is our moment to show Nigerians that love, respect, and unity can be stronger than religion or tribe. Let us promote this movement across every platform and every community. Let us grow together as one. One Nigeria Must Be OK.

Germany: Two young Christian content creators are facing jail. Criminal blasphemy charges have been filed against Niko and Tino, of the small Christian YouTube channel "Eternal Life." The case stems from a 2024 video that criticized Islam and drew connections to the growing antisemitism in Germany. They face three years in prison. Christian voices are increasingly being restricted in Europe. Pray for Niko, Tino and their families as they face this legal battle. Pray for courageous Christians across the West to continue speaking the truth.

Our National Legal Adviser resigned from the APM since last year. There is no discrepancy of membership or legal issues. INEC just forgot to update APM’s details on their website. See his letter of resignation from the party and as National Legal adviser attached. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Cc @GuardianNigeria ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼

In 1991, one of Nigeria’s two political parties, the Social Democratic Party (SDP), was on the brink of collapse over disputes from its governorship primary elections, particularly in Lagos and Adamawa, where Atiku Abubakar was controversially declared the winner. African Concord reported that the party had split into two powerful factions. One was led by national chairman, Baba Gana Kingibe, the other by national secretary, Alexis Anielo. Kingibe’s faction declared the Lagos election inconclusive and ordered fresh polls in four disputed wards. It also endorsed Atiku’s victory over Bala Takaya in Adamawa, despite allegations of misconduct. While results from two local councils were still pending, the party’s returning officer for the Adamawa election, Ebere Osieke, had travelled to Lagos and declared Atiku the winner, against electoral guidelines. Anielo’s faction rejected these decisions. In Lagos, candidate Femi Agbalajobi went to court to stop the fresh elections. African Concord traced the crisis to the party’s formation, writing, "To build the party which espouses an ideological vision of social democracy, political elements from a strangely contradictory background — some conservative, some monarchists, some feudal and many hardly democratic — nested in the SDP."

Udu Council Boss Suspends Planned Installation of “Sarki,” In Udu Orders Security Profiling. The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode (JP, FCIA), has ordered the immediate suspension of a planned inauguration/installation of a “Sarki” a traditional Hausa monarch in parts of Udu Local Government Area of Delta State. The directive follows the emergence of banners and posters written in Arabic, announcing the proposed ceremony, which have reportedly sparked concern among residents across the council area. Speaking on the development, Oyibode disclosed that the matter was raised during a security meeting of the council, where he directed that the individual proposed for the title be properly profiled. He emphasized the need for comprehensive information from leaders of the Hausa people in Udu regarding both the candidate and the organizing committee. According to the council chairman, he has yet to receive any official briefing or documentation concerning the identity of the proposed Sarki or details of the committee behind the planned installation. “I was surprised when my attention was drawn to the banners written in Arabic, as well as a series of voice notes and calls from concerned sons and daughters of Udu, both at home and in the diaspora,” he said, expressing strong displeasure over the situation. Oyibode reiterated that as the Chief Security Officer of Udu Local Government Area, all activities with potential security implications must receive proper authorization. He stressed that no such ceremony should proceed without the approval of the council authority. He further warned that any attempt to go ahead with the installation without clearance would be met with decisive action, directing security agencies to apprehend organizers and participants who defy the order. The council boss assured residents that the local government remains committed to maintaining peace, security and harmonious coexistence among all ethnic groups within Udu. Peter Obi@PeterObi

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
