Consider that an energy vampire can be in the same room with you for 20 minutes with no drama, no conversation, not much thinking or emotional activity in your head, yet you come away drained needing a nap.
That’s because the perp (or his entities) was directly plugging into your subtle energy field, stealing your raw lifeforce energy.
The lack of positive/negative emotional quality shows there’s a category of subtle energy that isn’t colored by that spectrum. This raw lifeforce energy is there for the taking by any entity unless occult defense tactics are employed.
If you’re perceptive, you’ll notice that this kind of lifeforce siphoning requires somewhat close physical proximity, 10 yards or less in my experience.
Now contrast this with another type of subtle energy whose quality DOES depend on one’s emotional/spiritual state.
If you were to charge water with that, per Emoto the ice crystals would look different depending. If someone drank it, the negative charged water would act like an emotional poison while the positive would lift them up. The basis of holy water if extended to also include spiritual patterns not just emotional.
Further, you may notice that this class of energy isn’t as local or temporally fixed as the raw lifeforce energy. It comes from further up the conciousness stack.
Nonlocality means someone can drain it from the other side of the planet (because you’re in close proximity to them mentally/emotionally) or send it in the form of say “hate darts” or “love bouquets” to you. At that higher (astral) level you’ll be impacted by it.
However, the draining tends to require emotional participation, hence the tell is conscious engagement, whether pulling you into drama, obsession, fantasy, or adoration, which activates the astral functions, thus nonlocality.
In my research, there are classes of negative entities that have an affinity for certain qualities of subtle energy. Maybe because that’s what their astral bodies are made of, or simply what they’re most familiar with. This is the basis of demonology where certain demons are associated with certain vices like hatred, lust, greed, anger, sadness, and so on.
Anecdotal data suggests that such entities dislike energy patterns that are opposite or too far outside their range.
Now consider a mixed case: a cult leader whose possessing entity is an energy vampire of the demonic type.
If this cult leader induces adoration, tears of joy, a sense of family in his followers, you would think this would repel the entity.
Not so, because the entity gets a net benefit by going for something else: 1) the raw lifeforce energy made available by these people opening up to the cult leader in their state of rapture, and 2) psychological control & freewill acquiescence by the followers. This is the basis of organized religion as an occult harvesting & control system.
Even if the “positive vibes” are inedible, the lower etheric lifeforce energy field absolutely is. Steeples/spires function as funnels, by the way.
Not to mention, followers having given into the temptations & manipulations of the leader/entity opens metaphysical doors for further entrenchment by the entity.
A discarnate entity can also do this directly to someone (attached to them or hanging around in the home). They might pose as an astral lover or deity, inducing chemical-like highs, and then eating the raw lifeforce energy like a bear scooping out honey from a tree trunk.
Point is, this energy parasitism issue involves multiple axes, levels, and factors. Most simply, it involves proximity & alignment at the various levels of our mind-body-soul-spirit structure: physical proximity, mental engagement, emotional engagement, and/or freewill permission, to name a few.
