That’s not a workaround. That’s a new revenue channel. Web stores unlock payment methods app stores structurally can't support: local cards, digital wallets, gift cards. Players exist there. Revenue exists there. You have full control there.

Your app store listing is not where all your players want to pay. In the Growth Stage podcast, David Vogepohl explains this through a simple story: his son wanted to buy Roblox currency, but couldn’t through the standard Apple flow. The workaround? A web store + gift cards.
