If Gears of War E-Day is announced as an Xbox console exclusive, I’ll buy an Xbox Series X. That franchise means a lot to me for me not to be there Day One

@mcquack306 Halo and Gears are the only reason I've stuck with Xbox every gen. I've always bought every game on launch, even if some of the games were incredibly disappointing. Gears Reloaded is the first game I didn't buy simply because it lacked an Xbox physical release.

I am torn. There is something exciting about the 24 hour warning - but as an adult - my favorite time of the year was E3, and we knew Nintendo's event was every year on that Tuesday right before the show floor opened up.
I miss that. Not just E3, but knowing every year an exact day Nintendo was going to share information. I could plan around it, take off to watch, etc. And while I still get to watch because I am a youtuber - if I wasn't? I think I'd rather know months ahead of time, like with the Switch 2 direct.

They believe if they keep saying things like this it will become true. Sony almost certainly sees Xbox as a direct competitor. It is Xbox who doesn't view Playstation as a direct competitor, which is why Xbox has been pursuing a completely different strategy compared to Sony.

Hardware leaker KeplerL2 reveals the current cost to manufacture a PS6 is $760. He says Sony could aim for a $700 price point if they are willing to subsidize it, but is unsure if they will due to Xbox not being a direct competitor anymore.
