@GPhilly120 @Tori_Philly4 I've said it for years: ascending teams need a healthy level of change/turnover in meaningful roles every year or two. The Phillies have not made a meaningful lineup acquisition since Trea Turner four years ago.

@Tori_Philly4 They look unprepared for the season, and the players look lifeless. That falls on Rob Thomson. They look dead in the water like they did in 2022 before Girardi got fired. Everything is off with the team and it started after the 2025 season ended.

this is a bummer. Philly is a hotbed for lacrosse and one of the best sports markets in the country. a shame they couldn’t find a way to make it work here.

@Philly_Mays When they decided not to improve the lineup for a third consecutive offseason it was clear that this offense was going to take a major step back. A stale lineup with the same holes its always had with marked regression from the top three. This was obvious. Extremely predictable.

@schwarbombz They don’t have a good lineup. Total black hole in the 4-5 spots. Outfield provides close to zero offense. Again. And again. And Again. The front office has done a terrible job addressing the offense overall. It’s a stale and deficient lineup and everyone knows it.

@TylersFlyers Meltzer off base. Painting dead end and no solutions. People would largely embrace a *real* rebuild - Flyers have never even tried it. Never. Not once. It’s been retool, risk-averse, “we can’t do that” or “this player is too valuable” - there’s no point to this organization.

Ive walked into Xfinity Mobile Arena (ex Wells Fargo Center) at least 35 times a season for past 6 years… I can say there has never been this feeling of excitement and angst like there is tonight. It may not be playoff hockey, but it certainly feels like it tonight #LetsGoFlyers
