@NovaMarkButler I wouldn’t use the NS Coastal Hazard Map - it generalized SLR & storm surge scenario to single # s for the entire NS coastline. The documentation is absent on why this was done! @ns_environment @EcologyAction @CBCNS

@HfxLearn2Drive The comment was not meant disparagingly, incorrect or incomplete information can be dangerous - There are a few tools around with state-source information that are worth using for screenshots like this, namely Nav Drone or the NRC Drone Site Selection tool.

This is a proactive warning in support of the @hfxgov fire emergency response. Remember you cannot operate an aircraft or a drone within 9.3 km of wildfires. It is illegal, you could be impeding firefighting operations, and you could be subject to penalties.

In this crazy time we're all living through, I would like to remind folks to keep your drones well away (9.3km) from the #tantallonfire. Let the response teams do their jobs.

Planning a drone flight soon? Remember to follow the #DroneSafety rules: register your drone, get your pilot certificate and, if needed, request permission to fly in @navcanada controlled airspace.

Glad to be able to play a small part in the wealth of training @HalifaxSAR does. Drone's are yet another tool in the toolbox.

As the #bluecarbon research team patiently waits for #eelgrass seeds to mature for our replanting project, they’ve been snorkelling, creating and now testing a homemade sediment corer, and hired the amazing @flytbox to fly a drone for aerial imagery! Way to go team!

@feelgoodsj Do you hand delivery to NS? I don't have enough time to snowshoe to today. ;-)

@SueBrunningBM Maybe they used it to help 'negotiate' with traders - a bartering ram?

One of the fun things about being a curator is that the job comes with a time machine. After all the recent 7thC #SuttonHoo fun, an enquiry has fast-forwarded me to the 8thC & this quirky (technical term) #sword pommel. Did the maker intend for it to look like an angry sheep...?
