A 66-year-old retired clerk from Ahmedabad is delivering on Blinkit, and he has no plans to stop.
Dinesh Mahant Thakordas spent 26 years at a life insurance company, raised a family, and built a stable life. He and his wife have three children, all well-settled. With no financial pressure, most expected him to slow down.
Instead, after spotting a delivery partner in his neighbourhood, curiosity turned into action, and he signed up.
For the past two years, he has been delivering on his own terms and has completed 10,220 orders.
Every rupee he earns goes toward travelling to new cities, states, and countries, something he hopes to keep doing for as long as possible.
For Dinesh, living life on his own terms means rising at 5:00 am, reaching the dark store by 6:00 am, and wrapping up his preferred morning shift by 11:30 am โ logging back in only if he feels like it.

The vessel sailed south of Iranโs Larak Island and into the Gulf of Oman on Thursday, carrying 450,000 barrels of oil.

IEA chief warns markets underestimate Hormuz closure
The International Energy Agency chief Fatih Birol has warned that โthe market is underestimating the consequences of a prolonged closureโ of the Strait of Hormuz and that energy prices will rise.
Birol said there had been no new deliveries of oil, gas or fuels to Asian markets, with supply gaps now starting to emerge.
He added that poorer countries could be hit hardest because of weaker currencies and more limited financial resources.
Birol also warned that shortages of refined products such as kerosene and diesel could emerge if crude oil cannot reach refineries, potentially causing flight disruptions, cancellations and industrial supply problems in some countries.
