The issue went to trial and a judge ruled that a Jet Blue/Spirit merger violated US antitrust laws, and would likely increase prices on consumers. The courts ruled, correctly, that the merger violated the law and would hurt Americans. In November 1868, John Willis Menard became the first Black person elected to the U.S. House of Representatives winning Louisiana’s 2nd Congressional District. White people prevented him from taking office. The only Black governor of Louisiana, P.B.S.. Pinchback, was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1873 but was denied his seat.

@chiproytx elementary school kids in Texas can speak more than one language that is impressive I can only imagine that many of the people involved in you being a "cancer survivor" spoke more than one language in their youth
