graphql is overkill you can simply use http with a strongly typed schema and use sparse field sets to select fields and write a specification for the sparse field set language, a parser and execution layer

@zachcodes There is an enterprise version of Apollo that many large companies use to manage large graphs spanning multiple teams (think 6 and 7 figure contracts in the Global 2000). This is a great business for us and lets us make most of the rest of our work free or inexpensive.
