Every thriving ecosystem begins with healthy rivers. The Yamuna Basin sustains biodiversity, ecosystems, and life across generations. This International Day for Biological Diversity 2026, we are reminded that our local ecosystems shape our global future. Guided by the theme, “Acting locally for global impact,” HCLFoundation unveils the Yamuna Basin Challenge 2026, a platform bringing together youth, researchers, innovators, nonprofits, artists, and communities to drive collective action for a resilient Yamuna Basin. From ecological restoration and innovation to research, culture, and youth-led action, the challenge aims to foster scalable and sustainable solutions for the river ecosystem. Registrations are now open.
